I was stumbling down the rabbit hole of unearthing ancient and extinct rums. I already found a recipe that replicates Lowndes London Dock Jamaican Rum, which was used in the original 1934 Zombie. Next up was a blend that replicates the flavor of the Appleton Punch rum. But what cocktail to showcase it in? I needed a spirit forward, but simple, tiki cocktail. Ah! The Smuggler’s Cover Planter’s a Punch.
