Maple Mai Tai

Not the most revolutionary riff here, but an extremely delicious one that would’ve been a lot less special without a fantastic pair of east coast maple rums. There’s not a lot of Canadian orange liqueurs, if any, and certainly none I can get my hands on, so I used Dillon’s plum schnapps in place of curaçao. As with most of my curaçaoless Mai Tais, I used their orange bitters to reintroduce that missing piece. Happy Canada Day! Recommended brands: •Ironworks Distillery Maple Rum •Newfoundland ...

Editor's Note
Maple rums and plum schnapps anchor this Canadian-inspired Mai Tai. The result is a rich, nutty, and bright riff that leans into regional terroir.

I really want to recreate this one. If I can't get my hands on those Maple rums, what would you recommend I do to adjust the recipe a bit?
