Phew, reading through Death and Co’s latest book Welcome Home and trying to find a recipe I have the ingredients for has been a challenge but I’ve managed to find a few. I had to buy a pineapple, sub the Rye, and used a quality spiced pear liqueur instead of pear eau de vie, but hey, this one worked out really well. I enjoyed the book but some of the drinks are a little esoteric even for me! But this drink and some others are easily replicable. I hunted for the Clear Creek, but couldn’t find it ...

Editor's Note
A bold rye sour where tropical pineapple and warm cinnamon meet spiced pear. A bar spoon of Fernet Branca provides a complex, bitter finish that cuts through the richness.
