Dot Dash Dot Dot
Submitted on: May 6, 2022
A riff on the Three Dots & a Dash to mark the 77th anniversary of the German Instrument of Surrender. Technically speaking, it still is three dots and a dash. However, it’s the loser’s version. My original plan was just to sub Jäger for the spices, but I made a few other small tweaks to more appropriately honour the bitter (but still delicious) taste of defeat. Middle fingers up if you hate Nazis.

View MoreCombine all ingredients in a drink mixer tin. Blend for 5 seconds. Open pour into a pilsner glass and add more ice if necessary. Float sake only if it’s September 2nd or later. Garnish with a cocktail pick speared through a cherry, a strip of orange peel, and two more cherries, in that order.
Editor's Note
A clever Tiki riff where Jägermeister stands in for traditional spices. The result is a complex, herbal-laced drink that balances grassy rhum agricole and aged rum against a trio of fresh citrus.
