This unusual combination displays the magic of root beer and absinthe— despite a hefty dose of the latter, this drink is surprisingly well-balanced and tastes different than the specs might suggest. It’s definitely a mezcal Old Fashioned worth trying!

I love trying new ingredients, learning new techniques, and of course, creating new cocktails-- especially ones influenced by food in some way. I also love the photography/videography side of things. I’m incredibly passionate about my craft but try not to take myself too seriously. Cheers!...

Editor's Note
A bold Old Fashioned riff where absinthe shares the stage with smoky mezcal. A house-made root beer syrup bridges the two with sweet sarsaparilla and spice.

I have never had root beer with absinthe, but now upon your recommendation, I need to try it.
