Planteray Five Years originates from Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados (founded 1893). The rum is aged three years in Barbados casks near the beach, then undergoes 'dynamic ageing' during ocean transit to France for a second maturation in ex-Ferrand casks, for a combined total of five years. The resulting spirit shows balanced notes of tropical fruits, vanilla, and caramel.
