Peter Piper Pickleback
Submitted on: October 10, 2022
This unusual drink was created to match a song by Run-D.M.X. called "Peter Piper". It's full of nursery rhymes, but this drink draws inspiration from the title by including picked pepper brine. This savory gin sour also has a bit of whiskey to conjure hints of a pickleback (whiskey chased by a shot of pickle brine). It's actually a delicious and balanced drink, even if you aren't a passionate pickle person.

I love trying new ingredients, learning new techniques, and of course, creating new cocktails-- especially ones influenced by food in some way. I also love the photography/videography side of things. I’m incredibly passionate about my craft but try not to take myself too seriously. Cheers!...

Editor's Note
A savory, gin-forward sour that reimagines the pickleback. Rye and Green Chartreuse add depth to the brine's salinity, creating a complex, balanced sipper.
