A reshake of @mixshakestir’s Moroccan-Spiced Double Apple, which was a riff on my Chai-Spiced Double Apple. I was so intrigued by the use of the ras el hanout that I had to make it. It’s delicious!! The spice blend pairs so well with apple, in both booze and cider form, it’s definitely not just for savory dishes. I added some bitters because I couldn’t resist lol.

Hi there! I've been a bartender at the same restaurant for over 10 years. My favorite spirits to work with are rum (love a good tiki drink!), gin and amaros. I love to garden and I often use the herbs and produce I grow to make syrups and infusions. Cheers y'all! ...

View MoreRim a coupe glass with a mixture of sugar and ras el hanout. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake to chill, strain into glass. Ras el Hanout syrup: 1 tablespoon ras el hanout, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar. Bring to boil, simmer 10 minutes, remove from heat and let cool. Strain.
Editor's Note
Ras el hanout brings earthy, aromatic depth to this Calvados sour. The spiced sugar rim amplifies the complex, warm profile of the apple-forward base.

I mixed it for my birthday party cocktail menu, and people loved it! I was so excited to make a drink with one of my favorite spice blends 😁. A perfect fall hit, Thanks for sharing it!
